Feel the excitement of getting airborne in an adventure rafting tour out on the water around the Sunshine Coast. If you have a penchant for high-thrill activities combined with spectacular scenery, you’re in the right place.
Your rafting adventure will take you on board a high-speed power boat in a small group of nine people at most, and take on the waterways around Mooloolaba. Hold on tight and get ready for the splashback as you get some serious air while you zoom around!
During your hour on board you’ll voyage around the amazing coastal headland of Point Cartwright, Mooloolaba Beach, and the historic Mudjimba Island. Enjoy views of the famous Point Cartwright lighthouse in all its glory and the expanse of blue water around you. You’re in for a ride action-packed with lots of picturesque scenery and a lot of adrenaline-pumping excitement. Adventure rafting also offers private boat charters for those larger groups!
Aqua Park at Coolum boasts an extensive array of fun play items, designed for kids as young as six, linked together by a extensive runway system, designed to avoid overcrowding and maximise everyone’s safety and enjoyment.

No other zoo packs in more action-packed encounters with amazing animals, nor conducts exciting, live interactive animal shows each day. The two-hour Safari Tour offers the best way to gain an appreciation of Australia Zoo. You will see the zoo’s size, and learn about its history, animal conservation programs, Wildlife Warriors volunteers, 24-hour wildlife hospital service, and its huge collection of fascinating wildlife. The tour also lets you pick the favourite places and animals you want to spend more time with later.
Safari Tours run twice a day, from 9:30 to 11:30am, and again from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Stretch your mind as you stretch your legs at this brain-teasing, maze-themed, outdoor fun attraction. There’s a range of mind-boggling mazes including the main attraction – the 80×80 metre living, lilly pilly hedge maze. Find your way to the tower in the middle of the hedge maze, find the dwarfs along the way to complete the quiz. Next try finding the dead ends to complete the scrabble game in the timber maze. Compete with your friends on the rope maze, find Snow White and her cottage then enjoy a round of mini golf. Be sure to treat yourself to Devonshire Tea or Cappuccino and scones in the cafe. A great family day out for those who love a brain-teasing challenge.
Ready to grab your helmet and get in line for the ride you’ll never forget! Their trained pit crew are always on board and will help you get your engines started and have you cruising around the track in no time. Pit your wits against big, sweeping bends, chicanes, hair-raising hairpins and build up speed for the supercharged straights!
Once you’re ready for a break, their cafe will satisfy your taste buds and quench your thirst. The Big Kart Track is the largest commercial go-kart track in Australia. Double-seaters are available so you can drive the kids around, and single seaters are all lined up for the more experienced drivers.
Located within the Bli Bli Watersports Complex the Aqua Park is a series of inflatable slides, runways, blast bags and bouncers all connected together and floating in a large sectioned off area of the back lake. Its the most fun for your money you could ever imagine and reflects our desire to make the Bli Bli Watersports Complex a family friendly environment where there is something for all ages to do.
As the largest sand island in the world with a veritable mosaic of landscapes including endless beaches, tall rainforests, sand blows and dune lakes, the World Heritage Listed site of K’gari (Fraser Island) packs every kind of adventurers’ punch.
The other-worldly, azure beauty of Lake McKenzie is perhaps the most Instagrammed lake in Australia. The dramatic change between pockets of the rainforest with crystal clear streams to eucalypt forests and scrubby woodlands, all within a few hundred metres, is almost inconceivable. The sheer volume of water cascading out of the pristine and freshwater Eli Creek straight across the sand and out to the ocean will delight you.
Just an hour’s trip (tide dependent) along the Great Ocean Drive through the Great Sandy National Park and its beautifully coloured beaches of Teewah and Double Island Point, K’gari is accessible as a day trip with The Booking Box.
One of the Wharf’s iconic shops is Fudgees on the Wharf. If you haven’t stepped into the sugar filled wonderland that is Fudgees, the walls are lined with pop vinyl icons and the store is packed with classic and international sweets. Famous for their massive Pez collection, homemade fudge which is made on sight and scoops of ice cream, this shop is everyone’s dream!

Rediscover the magic of a bygone era aboard the historic Mary Valley Rattler. The scenic Mary Valley is a place where you can experience the friendly laid back atmosphere of rural living at its best. The Rattler’s 46 kilometre round trip starts at Gympie and after crossing over the Mary River, chugs its way rhythmically around an abundance of curves, across bridges and numerous gentle hills. Your journey passes through Dagun, before continuing to the quaint community of Amamoor nestled in the centre of the Mary Valley. You’ll marvel at the restored turntable installed at the Amamoor Station and be fascinated by the process required to turn the locomotive around for its return to Gympie. Make sure you leave plenty of time to explore the restored Gympie Station which houses a historic display, a gift shop and a cafe offering dine in and takeaway options. The Mary Valley Rattler is more than a train ride. It’s a half-day adventure into history.
Nothing beats the exhilaration of seeing all the most incredible marine life up close. The indoor attraction is home to the Sunshine Coast’s only colony of Little Blue Penguins. The new exhibit will immerse guests in the delightful domain of the smallest species of penguin, above and below the water, with an entertaining mix of animal encounters and hands-on activities. The aquarium’s Australian fur seals and Australian sea lions are an absolute fan favourite, with the entertaining Seal Presentations delighting crowds of all ages. You can also explore the depths of the ocean by taking a walk through the 80m Ocean Tunnel and watch the majestic Grey Nurse Sharks swim past. SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast gives guests the opportunity to discover the weird and wonderful world of over 10,000 sea creatures, including sharks, rays, jellyfish, tropical fish and seahorses. Ahhh we arrive at one of the most famous Big Things and for good reason, not only is the pineapple huge and well-made but you can go inside it!
The Big Pineapple offers a conglomerate of attractions to suit the make and shape of just about any group you’re holidaying with. Got a foodie on board? Adrenalin junkie? Animal lovers? Small children, bored teenagers, adults? The Big Pineapple has each and every one of you covered!
For the thrill-seekers, the Treetop Challenge is a two kilometre high ropes and zipline course traversing the established trees and tropical gardens around the grounds. Set over eight acres, this isn’t for the faint-hearted, with children of 8 years who can reach 160 cm and above welcome on the course. Increasingly difficult sections ensure even the bravest backyard ninjas will be tested. It’s recommended you set aside half a day to complete all sections.
Not all of us love the idea of swinging high above the ground, but if you’ve been coerced into completing a few high ropes courses, a stiff drink is available along with the more genteel pursuits of gourmet food tasting down on the ground level. Diablo Co’s popup bar is a welcome addition to a weekend visit; you can taste their range of alcoholic refreshment from vodkas to liqueurs and a delightfully spicy ginger beer, guaranteed to steady your adrenaline-soaked nerves.
One of the newest attractions at The Big Pineapple gathering lots of fans both young and old, is the Wildlife HQ Zoo. Amongst lush rainforest and in a relaxed setting, over 200 species of animals including red pandas, meerkats, monkeys and koalas are being cared for in a naturalistic and ethical manner. Cuddle a koala or boa constrictor, feed a monkey and wander around at your own pace observing the incredible animals housed here. There’s also a café serving lots of coffee-related products and light refreshments.
This is a fantastic day out, guaranteed to satisfy everyone in your holiday party.

Fun for people of all ages is one of the Sunshine Coast’s premier tourist attractions, **The Ginger Factory**. Set on 9 hectares of rich-soiled land and situated an easy drive north from Brisbane, The Ginger Factory in Yandina provides a full day of interesting activities including educational tours, fun rides, demonstrations, dining, shopping and relaxing gardens.
The Ginger Factory plays host in January to The Ginger Flower & Food Festival, showcasing over 120 varieties of ornamental ginger and heliconias. This is a nationally recognized Australian festival of great food, workshops, lectures including eco-botanical organic gardening and displays.

Get Ready to Push your fears to the limit and get your adrenaline racing at the Big Pineapple on the Sunshine Coast. The Adventure Park is suspended amongst 10acres of stunning coastal rainforest where we take you ski-high (over 30m on our highest courses!!!) to experience stunning views from the tree canopy. Throughout your epic half-day adventure you will experience 120 exciting high ropes games while gliding along 12 ziplines spanning from 20m to 140m in length.
Located at The Big Pineapple, their high ropes adventure park is unlike anything you will do on the Sunshine Coast! Featuring six unique courses which start off easy and working up to heart-pumping extreme and with totally new challenges crafted just for the Sunshine Coast our high ropes courses will appeal to the dare-devil in everyone in your group!
Located at The Big Pineapple, Wildlife HQ is home to a huge range of Australian and Exotic animal species including Queensland’s only Sun Bear Maly. The zoo is home to over 200 animal species from around the world and boasts one of the largest collections of primates in Queensland. Wildlife HQ is a ZAA (Zoo & Aquarium Association) Accredited facility and is involved in a number of national endangered species management and breeding programs. Positive animal welfare is the priority of the zoo keepers at Wildlife HQ.
The Zoo is set in a relaxed rainforest environment that allows visitors to explore the naturalistic grounds and meet some truly unique and fascinating animals. You can even book an up-close-and-personal photo encounter with some of your favourite animals. This includes feeding monkeys; meerkats and red pandas. You can even cuddle a koala or a boa constrictor upon booking. By providing unique and memorable animal encounters the zoo aims to inspire visitors to take part in wildlife conservation.
The zoo is open every day from 9am – 4pm, with the exception of Christmas Day. Please note last entry is at 3pm.
