Affectionately referred to as Alex by the locals, Alexandra Headland is located between Mooloolaba and Maroochydore’s main beaches on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. Fringed by golden beaches, protected waterways, national parks and the spectacular Hinterland Mountains, Alexandra Headland offers a relaxed and laid back holiday atmosphere. This elevated rocky outcrop separates Mooloolaba from Maroochydore. It features a grassy headland, walking/running/bike track and northerly views to Coolum and Noosa. There is a patrolled beach and generally more economical than the heart of Mooloolaba.
This unique headland is surrounded by the Mooloolaba River to the north and the sea to the south and east. The grassy and rocky slopes feature relaxed walking paths and spectacular ocean views as well as views of Mooloolaba Marina . This is also a popular area for surfing and fishing. Dolphins and turtles can sometimes be seen offshore. Units are luxury with superb views of Mooloolaba to Coolum to the north and Caloundra to the south. Privacy and quiet prevail. There is also a patrolled beach at Kawana, to the south.
Buderim is placed on and around a volcanic plateau, barely 600ft above the Pacific Ocean. There is a green ambience characterised by leafy streets, lined with poinciana trees and flowering shrubs. Major features are the Buderim Forest Waterfall Walk and Foote Sanctuary. Enjoy sweeping views of one of Queensland’s major tourism centres and a mild climate all year round. The centre of Buderim is central to the whole of the Sunshine Coast, little more than 10 minutes from famous beaches such as Mooloolaba, Maroochydore and Alexandra Headland. The elevation catches the cool sea-breeze! The beautiful tree-lined escarpment and close proximity to the ocean, gives Buderim the best of both beach and hinterland environments. This quaint historical town is perfect for a break from the hussle and bussle.
