This locally family owned business offers daily seafood lunch and sunset cruises departing from one of our berths. Offering the freshest seafood on the coast straight from the Fisheries on the Spit, a fully licensed bar, table service and entertaining commentary on board. Cruise down the beautiful river and canals of Mooloolaba and take in the spectacular scenery and sunsets! This is a fun day out for the whole family you don’t want to miss!

Mooloolaba Canal Cruises

Mooloolaba Canal Cruise are a small family run business that takes immense pride in providing an unforgettable family friendly and affordable experience.

Their daily cruises aboard the historic 1963 timber ferry the MV Mudjimba, are highly popular and have been operating from The Wharf now for over 30 years. They are considered a “must do” item for anyone visiting the beautiful Sunshine Coast.

Enjoy a one hour relaxing still-water cruise along the Mooloolah River, and canal system, viewing opulent waterfront mansions and historic landmarks, while listening to live and informative commentary from their local Skipper.

Children are invited to take the helm alongside the Skipper and their resident pelicans fly in and catch a fish or two from the side of the boat. They have a fully licensed onboard bar and with the potential to hire out their boat for your special function.

With a sister-business in the tourism industry they have built up knowledge and enthusiasm over the years. They are experienced in all different ages and abilities and can help you while booking your next adventure.

You can browse online and plan your adventures from the comfort of your home, or you can come see them at The Wharf! Grab a coffee, chill out on the waterfront deck and browse through everything that the Coast has to offer.

Whale One

One of the most magnificent encounters we can have on this planet is during the humpback whale migration. Excitement and anticipation fill the air while we search along the horizon for the first blow or splash from these gentle giants. After years of observing these animals, we can safely say they sense us near them, as it seems they often curiously swim up to see our excitement.

Whale Watching cruises are available from June to early November with daily trips offered. You are guaranteed to see whales or receive a free return trip or money back. This is an educational and informative tour that will give you an immersive experience that is all left completely up to nature.

Whale One also offers a two hour Sunset Cruises which runs September to May with some of the best views the Sunshine Coast has to offer. Cruise the Mooloolaba Canals and Bay to take in the spectacular view of the Hinterland and the Glass House Mountains – awesome! Canape’s served whilst their talented musicians entertain you. Dolphin Discovery Cruise with Buffet Lunch is a two hour cruise with delicious gourmet meats and delicious salads. Dolphins and other marine life may be sighted during the cruise.
