Blue Water Dive - Mooloolaba

Blue Water Dive is the Sunshine Coast's longest established PADI Five Star Instructor Development Centre. They offer a full range of PADI dive courses from beginner to instructor level in a very professional but friendly environment. They offer charters both to the ex-HMAS Brisbane and to local reefs. The boat leaves the centre of Mooloolaba seven days a week (weather and passenger numbers permitting), and Blue Water Dive is the closest centre to the wreck of the ex-HMAS Brisbane. The dive boat is surveyed for 10 passengers and two crew members with a purpose built entry and exit platform. Smaller groups means less time waiting for exiting and entering the boat, and fewer divers on the site. Ex-HMAS Brisbane Wreck Dive

This is the one wreck site in Australia where you can enjoy diving over an enormous sunken vessel covered in corals and algae and surrounded in clouds of interactive marine life. With the tops of the ship's funnels only four metres below the surface and the main deck with its multi tiered superstructure no deeper then 18 metres this is the perfect site for the relative novice to discover the wonders of wreck exploration. For the more adventurous the base of this 133 metre long wreck sits in 27 metres and penetration, including engine and boiler rooms, is accessible in virtually all parts of the ship.
