| 2010 Havaianas Thong Challenge
When: Australia Day, Tuesday 26 January 2010
Come along and join in the World Record attempt for people on floating thongs! This free, family friendly, fun event is being held on the beach at Mooloolaba, so if you are around, make sure you come down and check out the spectacle of over 1000 thong-lilos floating in Mooloolaba Bay!

| Musto Etchells Winter Championships
For the 14th year in a row a top class fleet will be assembling in Mooloolaba on Queensland's south east coast, for the Musto 2010 Etchells Australian Winter championship being sailed from June 10-13th, over the June long-weekend. While World Championships and Australian Summer Nationals move venues every year, the Winter Nationals stay in Mooloolaba.

| Wharf Tavern Etchells Queensland State Championships
The Qld State Championships are on at Mooloolaba this year, so make sure you get your patch of beach to watch the spectacle happening off Mooloolaba Beach.
There are six races in all over the two day event, with the presentations being held at the end of each day's racing at The Wharf Tavern, The Wharf, Parkyn Parade, Mooloolaba.

| New Year's Eve @ Mooloolaba
When: Thursday 31st December 2009, from 5pm (family entertainment) till late.
This year, once again with thanks to the Sunshine Coast Regional Council and local businesses, come and join the family friendly celebrations on the Esplanade at Mooloolaba and welcome in 2010! There will be family friendly entertainment from 5pm, culminating in an early fireworks display, followed by more adult suited entertainment, culminating in a fireworks display at midnight.
